Bluegrass Festival Will Benefit Pregnancy Care Center

Bluegrass, Gospel and more bluegrass will be on the stage at Northwest High School February 25.  The purpose is to raise funds to help support the Pregnancy Care Center in House Springs.

The festival begins Saturday morning at 10am in the Lecture Hall and will feature 6 bluegrass/gospel/country groups.  The schedule is as follows:

10:00 a.m. - The Mighty Fine Band
11:00 a.m. - Highly Recommended
11:50 a.m. – Lakewood Bluegrass
12:40 p.m. – L.D. and the D.J.’s
1:30 p.m. – Spike and Janis Huff
2:10 p.m. – The Ozark Bluegrass Boys

There is no admission cost, but a love offering will be taken. There will also be the opportunity to win door prizes, and food will be available for purchase. 

The Pregnancy Care Center located at 5632 Gravois Road in House Springs is one of two in Jefferson County. The work they do is from the perspective that God created all life, including the unborn. Their mission is to provide information and resources that help women and families can make informed decisions.

The Pregnancy Care Center operates entirely on donations (monetary & resources) from the community.  It does not receive any state or federal funding.

Peace Pantry Logs On

The Cedar Hill Peace Pantry now has an Internet presence.  The food pantry has a new website that will allow people to find their hours, location, even the dates for their famous "Bag Sales."

The website also includes critical needs for the Pantry and steps people can take to get services if they are in need.
